Stonewall Jackson School
Stonewall Jackson School was founded in 1907 as a juvenile detention facility in Concord, North Carolina. The school was named after confederate icon General Stonewall Jackson. During the post-World War II, the school was used as a site for sterilization by vasectomy of six teenage white males that was authorized by the state. Sterilizations were also performed on girls and women instead of boys and men.

Lovely blog! :)
I know it's been a looong time since you posted this, but I'm interested in making a short film inside Stonewall Jackson School, but we wanted to get permission before going inside the buildings. Who did you talk to to get permission? Any info you have would be great.:) Thanks!
